What is Group Residential Housing (GRH)?
The Group Residential Housing (GRH) program pays for room and board for seniors and adults with disabilities who have low incomes. The program aims to reduce and prevent people from living in institutions or becoming homeless. This GRH Fact Sheet expands on this information.

Pursuit serves adult males. You do not need to receive GRH assistance to move in. We accept lodgers with GRH funding, self-pays, veterans, people without credit, and more. Disqualifications include: Level II & III Sex Offenders, Arsonists, and Capitol Crimes, and previous lodgers discharged for cause.

What is the rate?
Our rate is set by Hennepin County and is the same, regardless of how you pay or what kind of funding you have. Our monthly rate is $1,041, which includes a furnished room, three meals a day and additional amenities. Read GRH Program Information to learn more about how the rate is set. We can also charge a daily rate of $34.22 for shorter stays.

What types of payments are accepted?

What does the move-in process entail?
Our Lodging Coordinator will go through the move-in process with each lodger. Lodgers must pass a urinary analysis, review and understand our House Rules, receive a fob for entry, and fill out a Personal Statement of Assets.

Is Pursuit Hometel permanent housing?
No, we are transitional housing. A lodger has the right to move out the same day they give notice. Pursuit Hometel also reserves the right to discharge a lodger on the same day notice is given (I.E. for violation of House Rules).

We however do try to provide the most comfortable experience while lodgers rebuild. We understand and respect that each person's journey to recovery is unique. This is why we do not put a time-frame on how long one can stay with us.

How do I receive Group Residential Housing (GRH) assistance?
We can assist you in the application process for GRH or you can apply here.

If Pursuit is full, is there a waiting list?
When working with a parole officer, you can be placed on a waiting list.

How long is the average stay?
The average stay is approximately two months. We however have people stay for only a few days, and we also have people who stay for many years. There are no restrictions on how short or long your stay with us is.

Does Pursuit accommodate for special diets?
Pursuit cannot accommodate for special diets, whether it is for allergies, religion, or health conditions.

How many rooms are there? What are they like?
We have private and semi-private rooms. Most rooms are doubles and use a common bathroom (approximately 4 rooms per bathroom, although this varies throughout the buildings). We have 14 single rooms with private bathrooms. We have a cleaning service that cleans the common bathrooms M-F. Everyone receives fresh sheets weekly.
